Sanchez didn’t look to most confidence of defenders against Watford and it’s clear how much Tottenham are missing Toby Alderweireld.
The Colombia international has all the pace and the physical attributes, but just wasn’t winning his aerial duels against Watford’s attackers.
He thoroughly deserved his red card when he elbowed Richarlison in the second half. The centre-back glanced at the Watford attacker before lifted his arm up to his face after the ball had gone.
With Alderweireld out and first-team mainstay Sanchez looking to have a three-game ban, there are desperate times ahead for Tottenham.
