Vertonghen did a decent enough job at stopping the Watford attack but it was still a worrying show from the experienced Belgian who has not been so convincing in his more recent outings.
The lack of Alderweireld has really exposed some flaw in the Spurs defence and that could force Pochettino into trying to sign players to pad out the area in January.
It’s just not going right at the moment for Spurs and it seems that the ex-Ajax ace’s form is a big part of them leaking goals.
