4/10 enforcer must be axed – Tottenham player ratings v Liverpool

Goalkeeper and Defenders

Goalkeeper – Hugo Lloris: 6/10 – The frenchman dominated his box well, but was nowhere near the two Salah goals. Lloris helped with the tempo of the game with his quick distribution towards the end of the game.
Left-back – Ben Davies: 6/10 – Spurs are missing the creative presence of Danny Rose, as Davies does not quite offer the same prowess. Davies had a few rough tackles at the beginning of the game and was lucky to not be booked.
Centre-half – Jan Vertonghen: 8/10 – Easily Spurs best player today, looked collected and cool on the ball, and made a few crucial tackles in his own final third.
Centre-half – Davinson Sanchez: 4/10 – Had a first half to forget, allowing the ball to drop over his head, missing clearances and allowing Salah in to score the first Liverpool goal. Spurs will want Toby Alderweireld back as soon as possible.
Right-back – Kieran Trippier: 6/10 – Offered a lot more than Davies going forward, but did sometimes over commit going forward leaving space for Liverpool to exploit.
