‘Tottenham plot Christian Norgaard move as transfer details emerge’

Tottenham could find themselves knocking on Brentford’s door once again as they weigh up a shock move for Christian Norgaard.

Spurs recently appointed Thomas Frank as their new head coach following the decision to relieve Ange Postecoglou of his duties.

As a result, the north London side are plotting what moves they’re likely to make in the transfer market as they prepare for the upcoming 2025/26 campaign.

Tottenham could beat Manchester United to Bryan Mbeumo‘s signature, after the Cameroon international thrived under Frank at Brentford.

Players could also head for the exit door with Daniel Levy tipped to accept a cut-price deal for Son Heung-Min in a Tottenham News exclusive.

Spurs consider shock move for Brentford star

Tottenham could be set to test the water with a move for Norgaard as a solution for their central midfield conundrum.

Writing in a Q&A for Football London [May 22], Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold explained how the Brentford star could be a good fit.

He wrote: “It’s a shame (for Frank anyway) that Christian Norgaard signed a new deal towards the end of last season because I would not have been shocked if Spurs had made a move for him as he was one of the more underrated midfielders in the Premier League last season.

“Frank absolutely loves the experienced Dane and thinks he’s a special leader and no doubt would have wanted that at Spurs as someone who knows his demands inside out being in the centre of the team.

“Perhaps they might still test the water with Brentford.”

Norgaard could complete Frank’s Brentford raid

It would be no surprise at all to see Frank go back to Brentford in order to test the water regarding their star players.

Tottenham are hoping to hijack Manchester United’s move to sign Bryan Mbeumo this summer, however Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson told Football Insider that Ruben Amorim’s side remain in the driving seat.

Norgaard was another key player under Frank for the Bees and certainly has the quality to make the step up to life with Spurs, adding crucial quality to their midfield ranks.

A move for the Danish star could be tricky to pull off with Brentford likely to be reluctant to see the midfielder unless their valuation is met.

But with Frank looking to remodel Tottenham in his image, a move to sign the 31-year-old could be a shrewd move.
