Tottenham ready Lloyd Kelly talks after multiple offers submitted – sources

Tottenham are readying talks with soon-available Bournemouth star Lloyd Kelly, sources have told Football Insider.

The defender’s contract at the Vitality Stadium is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he will be available on a free amid long-term interest from the Lilywhites.

Sources have told Football Insider (5 February) that the 25-year-old has rejected multiple offers from Bournemouth to extend his contract, which has opened the door for Ange Postecoglou’s side and rivals club to snap him up for free.

It is believed that Newcastle United and Liverpool are also keen on the Englishman, while Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus and multiple clubs in Germany are also in the frame.

Kelly’s versatility and proven Premier League calibre have convinced Tottenham chiefs that he would be a strong option for next season.

While his stock has risen amid the Cherries’ impressive return to the top flight, he has been absent for 12 Premier League games through injury this season and remains unavailable with a hip injury.

However, Bournemouth are still keen to retain his services but are aware that he is in a strong position with interest from elite European outfits.

He has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Andoni Iraola’s side and has scored one goal – the opener in their 5-0 thrashing of Swansea City in the FA Cup in January.
