Tottenham ready mega money contract deal to secure star man’s future- report
Tottenham are ready to offer star striker Harry Kane a mega money deal in summer in order to secure his future at the club, according to a report.
The Daily Mail claim on their website that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is willing to go above and beyond the current wage cap in place at the club to improve on Kane’s current £110,000-a-week deal to keep him committed to the club and ward off interest from potential suitors, with Real Madrid named as an interested party.
A new and improved contract deal would be the fourth new agreement signed by the 24-year-old forward since 2014, and is already the club’s top earner, with a base wage said to be boosted by significant bonuses based on his performances.
News of a new contract with Spurs comes after Kane smashed Alan Shearer’s 22-year-old record for most Premier League goals scored in a Premier League season, with his hat trick against Southampton in the 5-2 win on Boxing Day taking him beyond the Newcastle United icon’s 36 strikes.
Kane has established himself as one of the top strikers in world football since breaking into the first team at Spurs, having picked up two consecutive Premier League golden boot awards, and is leading the way this season with 19 top flight goals, three ahead of closest rival Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
