Tottenham respond as Man City swoop for Destiny Udogie
Tottenham are confident of keeping left-back Destiny Udogie at the club despite reported interest from Man City, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (14 April) that Udogie, 22, could be tempted by a move to City if their surprise interest materialises.
Pep Guardiola‘s side will be in the market for a new marquee left-back signing this summer – with youngster Nico O’Reilly currently starting in the position.
However, Spurs are confident Udogie’s long-term contract will give them sufficient leverage to reject bids in the off-season – with the Italy international’s deal running until June 2030.
Tottenham will only accept Udogie bid on their terms
The Lilywhites could consider mega-money offers but will be adamant that the left-back only departs on their terms.

Spurs must win the Europa League to qualify for the Champions League – their only route to continental football.
Udogie has made 30 appearances across all competitions and notched just one assist in an injury-affected 2024-25 campaign.
He made the move to London from Udinese two years ago for a reported fee of around £21million including add-ons.
Spurs could make Postecoglou decision this week
Meanwhile, Football Insider has revealed (14 April) that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham exit could be sealed as soon as this week if they suffer defeat in the Europa League.
Spurs face Eintracht Frankfurt away on Thursday (17 April) with the quarter-final tie finely poised at 2-2 after the first leg.
European success is needed if Postecoglou is to stand any chance of keeping his job – as the club sit 15th in the Premier League table with six games remaining.
