Tottenham send brutal nine-word message to shutdown Arsenal

Tottenham aimed a sly dig at North London rivals Arsenal on X, formally known as Twitter, after beating Qarabag 3-0 on Thursday (September 26) with ten men.

Spurs defender Radu Dragusin, 22, was shown a straight red after just seven minutes for a reckless last-man challenge on Qarabag forward Juninho.

Still, in typical Ange Postecoglu fashion, Tottenham persevered and under-fire winger Brennan Johnson opened the scoring for the Premier League side just four minutes later.

Midfielder Pape Sarr then doubled their lead just after half-time before £65million man Dominic Solanke made in three with his second goal for the club.

Tottenham let Arsenal know how they fell

Mikel Arteta’s side went down to ten men in their 2-2 draw with champions Man City after Leandro Trossard received a second yellow card for kicking the ball away.

They then proceeded to stick every player behind the ball to try and salvage what they could from the game, something Tottenham gleefully reminded them with a brutal nine-word message on X.

After a tricky start to the season, Spurs seem to have found their feet, winning all three of their last games across all competitions.

They next face an away trip to Erik ten Hag’s struggling Man United side on Sunday (September 28) as Postecoglu and his lads aim for Champions League qualification this season.
