‘Tottenham set for £15m blow after Thomas Frank deal agreed’
Tottenham have paid out up to £15million after a deal to make Thomas Frank their new manager has been agreed.
Frank emerged as Spurs’ top target for the vacancy after they decided to part ways with Ange Postecoglou last week.
The 51-year-old took charge at Brentford in 2018 and went on to achieve promotion to the Premier League in 2021.
The Bees have since cemented their place in the top-flight, with Frank leading them to a 10th-place finish in the 2024-25 season.
The Dane told Brentford he wanted to join Tottenham immediately after they made their interest known in acquiring his services.
Spurs have paid Frank’s £10million release clause for him to make the move to north London, with the appointment confirmed on Thursday (12 June).
Former Everton chief Keith Wyness told Football Insider Frank is “absolutely” worth the money involved following his work at Brentford.

Ange Postecoglou termination fee revealed at Tottenham
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 1 June Tottenham had decided to part ways with Postecoglou, and the club officially announced his departure on 6 June.
Chairman Daniel Levy took his time before deciding to sack Postecoglou following a challenging season.
The Australian boss led the club to their first trophy in 17 years following their Europa League final victory over Manchester United last month.
However, it wasn’t enough to keep his job after Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League table.
Postecoglou will receive a £5million payout from Tottenham after they decided to end his contract two years early.
That takes the overall compensation for Postecoglou’s sacking and Frank’s move from Brentford to £15million.
Postecoglou also earned a £2million bonus after leading Spurs to their first European trophy since 1984.

Tottenham set to land £100m windfall
The lure of Champions League football has no doubt been a key factor for Frank in deciding to make the move to Tottenham.
Spurs secured their place in the competition courtesy of their Europa League success.
Finance expert Stefan Borson told Football Insider Tottenham are set to land a £100million windfall after qualifying for the competition.
The club’s accounts for 2023-24 revealed their turnover fell from £549.6million in 2022-23 to £528.2million.
That was driven by their lack of European football across the 2023-24 season, but that figure is expected to rise again for the latest campaign.
