Tottenham source admits ‘impossible’ transfer ‘mess’ over Ange Postecoglou sack
Tottenham have now found themselves in an “impossible situation” ahead of the summer with Ange Postecoglou’s job in the balance.
Spurs have been dismal this season, even after spending big to bring in Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth in the summer, whilst retaining the core of the side that finished fifth last year.
Injuries have devastated Tottenham’s season, and as results have faltered, questions have been raised about Postecoglou’s future in North London.
Marco Silva and Andoni Iraola have been touted as potential replacements should chairman Daniel Levy sack the Australian, but all of the uncertainty surrounding the ex-Celtic boss’ future is making it hard for Spurs to plan for next season.

Ange Postecoglou future making Tottenham planning ‘impossible’
The North London side find themselves in a difficult situation, due to the uncertainty of what next season will hold for them.
Whilst the club are set to miss out on qualifying for Europe through the Premier League, Tottenham could feasibly be playing in the Champions League next year, if they manage to win the Europa League.
In a report by The Telegraph, a source revealed: “Tottenham, more than any other club, are in an impossible situation in terms of planning for next season. They cannot make definitive plans on transfer targets or existing players while they don’t know if they will be in Europe or if the head coach will still be in charge.”
The source then added: “All managers have defined styles of football and players they are attracted to, none more so than Postecoglou. But that style could completely change if he goes. It’s all a bit of a mess and nobody can really get any answers.”

Tottenham must act quickly or risk missing out on key targets
The coming transfer window, which will take place earlier due to the Club World Cup, is set to be an incredibly busy one.
Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Man United all have gaping holes in their squads that desperately need addressing.
Should Tottenham dither, they genuinely risk out on missing out on the best players available, to their closest rivals.
Whilst the North London club figure out who will be in charge next season, all of their league rivals have their managers set for next season, and may steal a march on Spurs.
Whilst it would be a shock, Levy may look to move quickly in the coming weeks to find a replacement for Postecoglou, with an eye on Tottenham’s long-term future.
