Tottenham star Heung-min Son tells friends he will snub ‘huge’ offer
Tottenham captain Heung-min Son is happy at the club with formal contract talks set to get underway in due course, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (26 February) that Spurs will not entertain any offers for Son, 31, despite his precarious contract situation.
It was also revealed that informal discussions are already taking place to gauge his interest in renewing with Tottenham – as his current deal is set to expire in June 2025.
Son is reportedly wanted by Saudi Pro League sides, who are keen to continue their huge-money project of poaching the best talent from Europe.
But a well-placed source has told Football Insider that the South Korea international is happy in the Premier League and has told allies that he still feels he is at the peak of his career and will snub ‘huge’ offers to leave.
Son makes up his mind on Tottenham contract extension
Sources say he is happy with the Spurs project under Ange Postecoglou – who has won over fans and pundits alike since his arrival last summer (2023).
It is believed Tottenham and the player are now confident a renewal will be agreed.
The forward, who turns 32 in July, signed his last extension in July 2021.
Son has managed 12 goals and six assists in 23 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

He has become the main man for Spurs in attack since the departure of Harry Kane for Bayern Munich last summer (2023).
The ex-Bayer Leverkusen man joined Tottenham in 2015 and has gone on to score 157 goals for the club – the third most in Spurs’ history.
In other news, Tottenham could now sign 24-year-old from rivals this summer.
