Tottenham star returns to club after suffering injury on international duty – ‘There was no hesitation’
One Tottenham player has returned to north London after being deemed unable to participate in any fixtures during the international break for his country.
Spurs have lost Randal Kolo Muani to injury following their 2-2 draw against Man United in the Premier League last time out.
Thomas Frank already has other injury worries, including long-term absentee James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Dominic Solanke.
Spurs travel to north London rivals and Premier League leaders Arsenal after the international break, with Frank already looking like having a depleted squad for the fixture.

Lucas Bergvall leaves Sweden squad
Midfielder Lucas Bergvall suffered a head injury during Spurs’ 1-0 defeat against Chelsea on November 1st.
The 19-year-old was called up to the Sweden squad for their fixtures against Switzerland and Slovenia in World Cup qualifying.
However, as per Aftonbladet [13 November] in Sweden, Bergvall will not appear for his country and has returned to Spurs.

“National team manager Stefan Pettersson says that Bergvall suffered a setback during training,” Aftonbladet reported.
“We had agreed with Tottenham’s doctor to do some tests during the week and then run at full speed so that Lucas would feel it properly. When there was a reaction, there was no hesitation. We don’t want to take any risks,” Pettersson said to the newspaper.

Newcastle defender replaces Bergvall in Sweden squad
Aftonbladet stated that Newcastle defender Emil Krafth has joined up with the national team in place of Bergavll.
When questioned why Sweden has replaced a midfielder with a defender, Pettersson said: “It is something that Graham Potter and the leaders assess, that we have a replacement in the squad for Lucas.
“Emil Krafth is partly because there is a little uncertainty around Gabriel Gudmundsson.”
Leeds defender Gudmundsson has picked up an injury with Sweden, but the details of the problem have yet to emerge.
