By Abigail Withey
Tottenham Hotspur will not be allowing any other players to leave the club this summer following Kyle Walker’s recent exit, according to a report.
The Sun has revealed that the only players leaving north London club will be those who have authorised permission from manager Mauricio Pochettino.
A source, cited by the newspaper on the website, stated that there will be no more departures from the London outfit during the transfer window.
It is said that this comment came after Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho made contact with Spurs in an attempt to sign Eric Dier, but Tottenham said the midfielder would being staying put at the club.
Mourinho has reportedly made the England international his top midfielder to sign during the transfer market, but Spurs are adamant that he will not move.
Tottenham have waved goodbye to four players over the summer with midfielder Nail Bentaleb heading to Schalke, forward Clinton N’Jie moving permanently to Marseille, defender Federico Fazio to Roma and most recently Kyle Walker, who has jetted off on Manchester City’s pre-season tour to the United States.
Pochettino seems keen to hold on to as many of his current squad as possible after the north London outfit were close in a battle with Chelsea for the Premier League title last season.
The Spurs boss is yet to make any signings so far, but will undoubtably be hoping to secure a few new additions to help the club in their race for silverware.
In other Tottenham news, they are lining up a move for a 25-year-old with a £39.4million release clause.
