Tottenham tipped to re-sign Christian Eriksen ‘on 1 July’ after key development – expert
Tottenham could re-sign Christian Eriksen in an “easy” deal this summer.
That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
Eriksen, 30, made his return to international football on Saturday as Denmark were beaten 4-2 by the Netherlands.
He scored with his first touch, continuing his good run of form since returning to Premier League action with Brentford.
Eriksen has made three appearances for the Bees since returning to full fitness following his collapse at Euro 2020.
Wenham insists any deal for Eriksen would be “easy” to pull off and would “instantly improve” Spurs’ squad.
“He’s one that would be really, really easy to get in,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“We could get him in on 1 July and he already knows Conte and Tottenham.
“I really hope this is one we can pull off, it’s an easy bit of business that instantly improves our squad.
“That also allows us to sell someone for a bit of money then Eriksen comes on a free.
“That gives us the chance to improve another area of the squad as well.
“I really hope we are working on this and we want to make it happen.
“He’s proved he still has it and I would just really like to see it.”

Eriksen worked with Antonio Conte at Inter Milan.
The duo won the Scudetto together in the 2020/21 season.
In other news, there has been a major update on Lucas Moura’s Tottenham future amid the latest on Dejan Kulusevski.
