Tottenham tipped to sign Kane ally as two new deals on the cards – pundit
Alan Hutton has tipped Tottenham to sign both a new striker and wing-back during the January transfer window.
The former Spurs defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted Antonio Conte needs backup for Harry Kane and a new star right-back this month.
As quoted by the Mirror on Tuesday (4 January), the Italian manager revealed he was still waiting for talks with the top brass regarding the club’s transfer plans.

He insisted business would be done this month, having stated last month new signings are needed.
Hutton suggested a new centre-forward and right-sided wing-back to replace Emerson Royal would be top of Conte’s shopping list.
Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think the right-wing back is still up for discussion. You’ve got Doherty there and you’ve got Emerson Royal too.
“I don’t think any of them have hit the heights that we probably hoped. In this formation, the wingbacks are pivotal to what Tottenham are going to do moving forward.
“Moving from there, you look at centre forward. I know you’ve got Harry Kane but if he’s not playing or whatever, who comes into that position? Who’s your central figure? I don’t think they’ve really got anybody else there.
“There are a couple of positions where he knows to strengthen.
“I was one who thought maybe the back three needed strengthening but they’ve actually done well in recent weeks. The likes of Davinson Sanchez have had an upturn in form.
“There are one or two in this market he needs.”

Spurs currently sit sixth in the Premier League, two points off Arsenal in fourth and one behind West Ham in fifth.
However, Conte’s men have two games in hand over both of their London rivals.
