Tottenham to accept Giovani Lo Celso offer after latest – expert
Tottenham will look to sell Giovani Lo Celso this summer to bolster their transfer kitty.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Spurs and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton suggested that Lo Celso, 28, is not in Ange Postecoglou’s long-term plans and his fee will be used to buy players who can take the Lilywhites to the “next level”.
Sources have told Football Insider (17 April) that Spurs are expected to receive multiple offers for the Argentine, who wants to quit this summer.
He has made just four Premier League starts this season and 19 appearances in all competitions with Postecoglou opting to field the likes of Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma in his midfield instead.
Giovani Lo Celso can’t take Tottenham to ‘next level – Hutton
Hutton noted that Lo Celso’s time at Tottenham has been a “rollercoaster” amid inconsistent game time and loan moves and suggested it would be best that he makes an exit this summer.
“It’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for Lo Celso,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s in and then out of the squad, then out on loan.
“Personally, I couldn’t deal with that.
“I’d want to go somewhere where I know that if I play to my level, I will be in the team.
“I don’t see that for Lo Celso at this moment in time if I’m totally honest.

“If Ange wants to reinvest and get other players in the door that he feels can take Spurs to the next level, then players like Lo Celso will probably be moved on.
“I can see the fringe players at Tottenham like Lo Celso leaving this summer so Ange can invest in the squad.”
