‘Tottenham to sack Ange Postecoglou tonight’ – fans erupt
Tottenham fans directed their anger at Ange Postecoglou after the team’s disappointing Europa League defeat to AZ Alkmaar.
Tottenham suffered a 1-0 loss in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie on 6 March, with Lucas Bergvall’s own goal proving to be the difference.
It was a frustrating night for the North London side, with several players underperforming and Dominic Solanke picking up an injury, adding to their woes.
Tottenham are reportedly already setting sack terms for Postecoglou, should he end the season with no trophy, added to their poor performances in the league.
The defeat leaves Spurs in a difficult position heading into the second leg, but for many fans, frustration has already boiled over as concerns about the team’s direction under Postecoglou grow.

Daniel Levy stands by Ange Postecoglou amid injury struggles
Postecoglou has faced constant scrutiny this season, with the side enduring humiliating defeats to the likes of Everton and Ipswich while crashing out of all domestic competitions.
Currently sitting 13th in the Premier League with just 33 points from 27 games, Spurs have struggled to find consistency and look certain to finish in mid-table.
Despite growing calls for change, Mick Brown, former chief scout for Manchester United and Blackburn, exclusively told Football Insider in January that Tottenham’s hierarchy remain fully behind Postecoglou.
Much of the club’s poor form has been attributed to an ongoing injury crisis, with key players such as Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, and Radu Dragusin all spending significant time on the sidelines.

Tottenham fans lose patience with Postecoglou as results worsen
The club’s backing of the manager was evident in the January transfer window, with signings including Mathys Tel, Kevin Danso, and Antonin Kinsky.
However, fans have been far less forgiving, especially after the recent return of key players, with Romero and Van de Ven back on the bench and Destiny Udogie starting.
With Tottenham’s Europa League hopes hanging in the balance—their last chance at silverware this season—many supporters have turned on the Australian manager.
Calls for his dismissal have intensified, with one fan stating, “A club built to win would sack Ange right now” while another added, “The club needs to sack Ange today to save our season.”
