‘Tottenham to sell Bentancur and Bissouma’ – Fans fume after Bournemouth draw

Tottenham fans are ready to sacrifice Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma this summer following the 2-2 with Bournemouth on Sunday.

The latter was replaced at half-time by Lucas Bergvall, with the Mali international struggling as the Cherries took a well-deserved lead through Marcus Tavernier.

He picked up a yellow card after bringing Evanilson down while Bentancur managed the same after just 30 minutes, catching Liverpool-linked defender Milos Kerkez with a late challenge and putting more pressure on Spurs.

It could have been even worse for Ange Postecoglou had Justin Kluivert’s goal stood, that was until Evanilson finally doubled the visitor’s lead in North London.

Goals from Pape Sarr and Son Heung-min, who could be in his final season at Tottenham, saved Spurs from embarrassment, but with the team still sitting 13th in the Premier League, fans are growing impatient.

Daniel Levy must back Ange Postecoglou in the summer transfer market

Postecoglou has been under immense pressure at Tottenham for months, but with his team plagued by injuries, Daniel Levy looks to have given the manager multiple chances.

The owner has had several chances to pull the plug on his tenure but the Australian looks set to be in charge once the summer transfer window opens, and that could be a crucial period for him.

Cristian Romero, Guglielmo Vicario, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, and Ben Davies, just to name a few, have all faced extended spells on the sidelines this season, making the manager’s job that much harder.

If the Lilywhites are to compete at the very top level next season, Postecoglou needs the backing of the owner this summer, though Levy is usually under pressure from the Tottenham fans himself.

With just a few months until the next transfer window rolls around, the supporters have already found players to sell as soon as possible, with Bissouma and Bentancur on the chopping block.
