Tottenham told £80m Antoine Semenyo offer could be accepted by Bournemouth

Bournemouth are set to demand around £80million in future transfer windows for Antoine Semenyo amid continued interest in his signature from Tottenham.

Antoine Semenyo enjoyed a breakout 2024/25 season at the Vitality Stadium, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists across 42 appearances in all competitions.

Football Insider revealed during the summer window that Tottenham had been told Bournemouth were prepared to accept offers for Semenyo ahead of the new season amid their interest in his services.

Semenyo signed a brand new five-year contract with Bournemouth in July, putting rumours around a potential imminent departure to bed, but long-term doubts around his future still remain.

Bournemouth want up to £80m from Tottenham for Semenyo

Football Insider revealed last month that Bournemouth are braced for further interest in Semenyo next summer, but will not let him leave in January.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Bournemouth have set a lofty price-tag on the 25-year-old’s head as Tottenham continue to track him.

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast about the fee that the Cherries would accept from the Lilywhites next summer, I explained: “It’ll be a difficult deal to do for a number of reasons. It’ll be difficult to do due to Bournemouth not looking to lose Semenyo.

The price tag that will be on his head, it’ll be probably around 70 to 80 million pounds plus, I think, for somebody like him.

Also, it’ll be difficult to do because of the huge rival interest in Semenyo…it won’t just be Tottenham who are interested in him.

Bournemouth have been able to cope with their summer exodus

The Cherries do not want to lose Semenyo anytime soon, and that is very understandable considering his strong form last term which has carried into this season with four goals and two assists in six league games so far.

There were serious concerns around Bournemouth’s Premier League prospects heading into this campaign, mainly due to their summer outgoings as Dean Huijsen joined Real Madrid, Milos Kerkez was sold to Liverpool and Illia Zabarnyi joined PSG.

They had to keep hold of Semenyo after a number of their key players left, and doing so has meant that they have started this season a lot better than many had envisaged they would.

Andoni Iraola‘s side have only lost one of their first six league games, a late defeat to reigning champions Liverpool, and they are now unbeaten in four games while winning against the likes of Tottenham and Brighton.

It certainly has not been the relegation-threatened campaign that they were widely-tipped to endure so far, and the longer they keep hold of Ghana international Semenyo, the more likely they are to avoid the drop each season.
