Tottenham told to beat Arsenal to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg ‘upgrade’ after journalist’s transfer update – Robinson
Paul Robinson has urged Tottenham to beat Arsenal to the signing of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one claimed the 25-year-old would be an “upgrade” on Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
According to Football.London‘s Chris Wheatley (10 May), Arsenal have held talks with Tielemans’ representatives regarding a move to the Emirates.

The Belgium international is said to be keen on joining Mikel Arteta’s side this summer if they qualify for the Champions League.
His contract at the King Power Stadium expires in just over 12 months.
When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if Spurs should get in on the act, Robinson said: “100 per cent.
“He is a top player. A player that I really admire. He would add real quality to that Tottenham squad.
“When you look at what [Rodrigo] Bentancur has brought to the squad, somebody like Tielemans would be perfect for that midfield.
“Hojbjerg is a very good player but he’s not of that top level that Spurs require. If they want to be regulars in the top four they need to upgrade that position. I think Tielemans would be add more quality.”

Tielemans has contributed seven goals and five assists in 48 appearances across all competitions this season.
He joined the Foxes from AS Monaco in the summer of 2019.
