Tottenham told to seal deal for two defenders after journalist’s ‘huge’ update – Robinson
Paul Robinson has claimed Tottenham should prioritise a centre-half and a right wing-back in the January transfer window.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said “it would be a huge bonus” if the club could bring forward deals for next summer’s targets.
According to The Telegraph‘s Matt Law (20 December), Spurs are planning to make two signings in the mid-season window.

A creative midfielder and a right wing-back are said to be the two positions the club are looking at.
Tottenham made great use of the January window in 2022, signing Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus.
When asked by Football Insider for his thoughts on the the January window, Robinson said: “There is a call for spending money in January.
“It is about getting the right players though. We do not see that happen too often. We have seen the odd one over the years but there hasn’t been many. If there is money to be spent, spend it wisely.

“The areas they need to look at are obvious. They need a left-sided centre-half and a right wing-back. If they can bring in two players to strengthen those positions they should do it.
“It is a difficult month to do business in though. The manager will be looking to the summer to strengthen his squad. If one of those summer targets is available in January it would be a huge bonus.”
