Paul Robinson has urged Tottenham to push forward in their pursuit of Everton striker Richarlison this summer.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former White Hart Lane number one said the 25-year-old and Gabriel Jesus are “two names Spurs should look at.”

Antonio Conte is set to be handed a sizeable budget by Spurs after qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

According to the Daily Mail‘s Sami Mokbel (26 May), Spurs are closely monitoring Richarlison but face competition from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazil international has two years remaining on his contract at Goodison Park.

When asked by Football Insider‘s Dylan Childs if Richarlison would be a welcome addition to Spurs, Robinson said: “Richarlison is a very good player.

“He has shown his character this season. He has scored some very important goals for Everton. His attitude and character has been questioned at times but this year he has stepped up to the plate.

“When Everton have needed him he has been there. Richarlison and Jesus are the type of player Spurs need. They are strikers who can play out wide.

“You wouldn’t sign a striker of that quality to sit on the bench behind Harry Kane. A versatile striker who can also play as a winger is the type of player Spurs need to look at.

“They are names that would excite you from a Spurs point of view. They’re two names Spurs should be looking at.”
