By Coral Barry
Galatasaray have denied that Tottenham have made any approach to sign their star goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
Reports in Turkey earlier this week from Spor Alemi and Sporcope had claimed that Spurs had made a bid for the 29-year-old.
Muslera has been at Galatasaray since 2011 after moving from Lazio and his his club have insisted via Twitter that Tottenham have made no attempt to tempt him away.
Club statement: No offers have been received from Tottenham Hotspur nor have negotiations taken place for our goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

The Uruguayan is an experienced international with 77 caps and is currently Uruguay’s first choice goalkeeper.
Muslera has five clean sheets so far and has appeared in every one of Galatasaray’s 23 league games this season.

Tottenham’s current number one stopper is Hugo Lloris and the Frenchman has collected nine clean sheets in Spurs’ surge towards the title this campaign.
Lloris’ performances this season have been pivotal to Tottenham developing one of the sternest defences in the league.
Galatasaray recently received a one year ban from European football after they were found guilty of breaching the financial fair play regulations.
