Sources: Tottenham fighting to keep wonderkid Callum Olusesi – four Premier League big guns want him
Tottenham are fighting to keep teenage sensation Callum Olusesi amid interest from Premier League rivals, sources have told Football Insider.
Olusesi, 16, is regarded as one of the best prospects to come through Spurs’ academy in recent years and he has played a starring role for the club’s Under-16s, Under-17s, Under-18s as well as the Under-19s in the UEFA Youth League this season.
The dynamic midfielder, who has been likened to his Under-16s manager Yaya Toure, helped Spurs complete a Premier League Cup double at both Under-17s and Under-18s levels this season.
His form has brought him onto the radar of other clubs including Man United, Newcastle United, Leeds United and Brighton.
The quartet have all registered their interest in signing the Olusesi this summer in what would be hammer blow for his parent club.
Tottenham are battling to keep hold of the teenager by tying him down to a scholarship and professional deal as soon as a possible.
He has been offered a scholarship that would then be converted into a pro deal at the earliest opportunity, which would be at the age of 17.
Olusesi has made 16 appearances for Spurs this season at Under-18s and Under-19s level this season, which is evidence of his dramatic progress.

Fourteen of those have come in the Under-18 Premier League, which have yielded an impressive three goals.
He has also represented England at Under-16s level, although that is non-binding in terms of his senior international career.
