Tottenham transfer news: Spurs plot summer move for ‘£70m’ Osimhen after approach rejected – Sources
Tottenham made an enquiry for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in January, Football Insider understands.
But the Serie A club knocked back the approach from Spurs for the 23-year-old as they looked to sign an attacker in the recent window.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Tottenham plan to return again for Osimhen in the summer.

He is valued at around the £70million mark by Napoli after signing in the summer of 2020 in a part-exchange deal that valued him then at around the £30m mark.
An A-list new striker is a key target of the Londoners going into the main window regardless of Harry Kane’s future.
Antonio Conte often plays two strikers in his favoured 3-5-2 formation and wants top quality cover and competition for main stars Kane and Son Heung-Min.
Osimhen fits into that category after establishing himself in Serie A and Ligue 1 as well as in the Europa League and at international level for Nigeria.
The front man has netted nine goals from 18 matches in all competitions this season, during which he has missed two months with a fractured cheekbone.
That, combined with Covid, ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations although Osimhen has returned as a substitute in Napoli’s last two matches.

Osimhen’s performances in the Europa League have impressed Spurs recruitment staff this season.
He has 19 goals and five assists from 46 Napoli matches as well as 10 goals from 18 Nigeria fixtures.
In other news, Son Heung-Min may not be back in the Tottenham team for quite some time after medical guru runs the rule.
