Harry Kane’s first half double was enough to secure a 3-2 victory for Tottenham in their London derby with West Ham on Saturday.

The England striker opened the scoring by guiding a whipped Dele Alli cross past Joe Hart with a diving header, and he doubled their lead with a poacher’s effort after the midfielder saw his effort blocked by Joe Hart.

He nearly grabbed a third after hitting the post with a fierce free kick, but Christian Eriksen capitalised by converting seconds later which seemed to put the match beyond doubt.

However, West Ham grabbed a goal through Javier Hernandez, before Cheikhou Kouyate’s powerful header ensured it was a nervy end for fans of the North London side.

Despite a late push, Spurs were able to see off the threat of Slaven Bilic’s men and continue their impressive form away from home this season, with victory seeing Mauricio Pochettino’s side move to third in the table.
