Tottenham’s Manor Solomon reacts to Micky van de Ven amid Leeds links

Leeds United target Manor Solomon has reacted to Tottenham team mate Micky van de Ven’s latest social media post.

Solomon spent last season on loan at Elland Road and manager Daniel Farke is keen to reunite with the midfielder this summer.

Farke has already signed four new players ahead of the club’s return to the top flight following their Championship promotion triumph.

Spurs boss Thomas Frank has made Mohammed Kudus his first summer arrival, paving the way for Solomon to leave North London.

Van de Ven sends ‘Thank You’ message

Van de Ven took to Instagram to say ‘thank you’ following a day out at Wimbledon before pre-season begins, which was liked by many of his Spurs team mates including Solomon.

The 24-year-old looks set to stay at the club this summer, but his centre-back partner Cristian Romero may depart Spurs, with Spanish side Atletico Madrid pursuing the Argentine.

Van de Ven appeared 22 times for the club last season and started alongside Romero in their Europa League final victory over Manchester United.

Frank must sell after Kudus purchase

Football Insider Verdict

Frank is stacked with attacking options following his successful pursuit of Kudus from rivals West Ham.

The Dane will need to offload forward players first to make way for any more arrivals, and Solomon looks certain to be one of them.

Solomon was influential in Leeds’ promotion and the Whites need to sign more goal scorers to boost their survival aspirations.

The 25-year-old would fit straight into the starting line-up and also add creativity to Farke’s attack.

The German has signed striker Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer, but other additions in this window have focused on tightening up his defence.

Frank needs to sort out the future of captain Son Heung-min, who has just a year left on his current contract.

Richarlison is expected to leave and Spurs could receive £55million from any sale to boost their transfer funds, whilst Bryan Gil is another player expected to depart, following numerous loan spells over the past three seasons.

Frank also wants to sign Yoane Wissa to strengthen his options before trying to keep all his players content around their playing time.

Spurs though have plenty of goal scorers, and Frank’s Brentford were one of the most exciting teams to watch in the Premier League last season, so there should be no shortage of entertainment for supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
