Tottenham’s new plan for Sergio Reguilon revealed – sources
Tottenham will look to sell Sergio Reguilon in the summer in order to raise funds for new players, sources have told Football Insider.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed there will be a few ins and outs at the North London club in the upcoming transfer window.
Reguilon, 27, is currently on loan at Brentford, having spent the first half of the season on loan at Man United.
The left-back has made 67 appearances for Spurs, having also been loaned out to Atletico Madrid during his time at the club.
Tottenham plan to sell loanee to raise funds this summer
Reguilon has featured 11 times for the Bees, registering three assists for Thomas Frank’s side as they try and secure another respectable Premier League finish.
But he is expected to return to Spurs at the end of the season, with his long-term future in North London up in the air.
Ange Postecoglou has relied upon Destiny Udogie at left-back, with Gabby Agbonlahor telling Football Insider in October that the defender has been a “revelation” for the club.
O’Rourke told Football Insider that Spurs will be keen to reinvest any money they make this summer and add it to their own transfer kitty.
He added that plenty of movement is expected in both directions this summer as the club look to build on what they have already achieved under Postecoglou.

Spurs are currently chasing a top four spot in the Premier League, but suffered a huge blow as they were hammered 4-0 by Newcastle United on Saturday (13 April).
