Tottenham’s response to fan unrest over Thomas Frank revealed

Thomas Frank still has the full support of the Tottenham hierarchy despite recent fan unrest, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs supporters booed Frank’s decision to substitute Xavi Simons against Manchester United at the weekend, with Mathys Tel replacing the Dutchman.

Tel scored the equaliser for Tottenham though, vindicating his manager’s decision and helping the north London side secure a point.

Sources say that there is no panic from the Spurs board or pressure on Frank, and that he has a lot of credit in the bank.

Tottenham’s home form is the problem

Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Man United on Saturday (8 November) was just the fifth point they have earned at home this season in the Premier League.

Only Wolves have a worse record at their own stadium in the top flight, highlighting the issue for the north London outfit.

In the overall table, Tottenham actually sit in a respectable fifth place, just four points adrift of Manchester City in second.

Frank will hope that his side can address their lacklustre performances at home after the international break and continue their challenge for a Champions League place.

Tottenham eye top-class winger

Meanwhile, Frank is eager to complete the signing of a top-class winger at Tottenhamsources have told Football Insider.

A wide man was one of Spurs’ priorities in the summer transfer window, but they failed to get someone in before the window slammed shut.

Morgan Rogers had been one of Tottenham’s major targets off the back of his superb 2024-25 campaign in the Premier League.

However, Rogers is now set to sign a new deal at Aston Villa, which ends any chance of a move to north London.

Sources say that Tottenham are still desperate to strengthen out wide though, with the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Rodrygo on their shortlist.
