Tottenham’s Richarlison shares transfer message after Brazilian’s deal terminated

Tottenham forward Richarlison took to social media to share a throwback image of himself in a Santos shirt after Neymar’s reported return to the Brazilian club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Neymar, 32, is set to return to his boyhood club after his contract at Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal was terminated.

The Brazilian winger made just seven appearances for the Saudi club due to injury, scoring one goal, and providing three assists in his 428 minutes of action.

Neymar missed 70 games across all competitions due to various injury issues, with his worst being an ACL while on international duty with Brazil.

The 27-year-old has struggled at Spurs so far this season, starting three of his 11 games across all competitions, scoring three goals, and providing one assist in his 340 minutes on the field.

Richarlison, who has a photorealistic tattoo of Neymar on his back, took to Instagram to share a throwback picture of himself wearing a Santos shirt, saying: “Neymar returning to Santos
Me automatically.”

The forward scored in his most recent start, their 3-2 Europa League win over German side Hoffenheim, his first since their 1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar back in October 2024.

Ange Postecoglu’s side host Swedish club Elfsborg in their last game of the new-look league phase on Thursday (January 30).
