Tottenham’s three-man summer signing plan revealed
Tottenham are aiming to sign players in three key positions as they aim to bolster Ange Postecoglou’s squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what his sources have told him about Spurs’ transfer plans.
A new centre-back has been named as a top priority, while there is also a focus on bringing in a new wide forward and central midfielder when the window opens.
This comes after Football Insider exclusively revealed in March that Tottenham want to make a marquee signing in central midfield this summer.
Meanwhile, Football Insider revealed on 22 May that Tottenham banked around £38million in prize money after winning the Europa League, which will boost their summer ambitions.

Tottenham plan to replace Cristian Romero after exit news
Football Insider revealed on 23 May that Cristian Romero is likely to leave Tottenham amid interest from the likes of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Any departing players will have to be replaced to keep the squad strong, with a centre-back to become a top priority if Argentina international does move away.
O’Rourke explained that their qualification for the Champions League will allow Spurs to focus their attentions on a different group of targets.
“A new centre-back will be a top priority for Spurs,” he told Football Insider.
“Especially if Cristian Romero leaves.
“Another forward or wide forward is going to be something Tottenham would like to bring, as well as a new central midfielder.
“So I expect it to be a busy window for Spurs.
“Obviously, they can look at a different set of targets now that they’ve got Champions League football.”

Eberechi Eze update emerges after Champions League twist
As Spurs continue to consider their options ahead of the summer window, Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze has been identified as a key target.
However, former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson warned Football Insider on 18 May that Tottenham have “no chance” of signing Eze this summer.
Their qualification for the Champions League is expected to provide a boost to their chances, while Palace will be competing in the Europa League after their FA Cup success.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider in April that Eze would be open to joining Tottenham amid uncertainty about his future at Selhurst Park.
