'Tough thing to deal with' - Mignolet makes honest admission about Liverpool start to season
By Laura O’Leary
Simon Mignolet has revealed how it has been difficult having Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Adam Lallana all missing games due to injuries or suspensions.
In an interview with Liverpool’s official website, the goalkeeper has shared that it is now exciting, that all three players are nearly fit enough to return, but shared that it had been hard for the side.
He said: “I think you have to deal with injuries throughout the season, you’re always going to have them, and that’s why you have a broad squad to deal with that.
“But if you have three of those kind of players injured at the same time, then it’s obviously a tough thing to deal with.”
Mignolet has featured 12 times for Liverpool this season, conceding 20 goals and keeping three clean sheets.
