Celtic could be set to miss out in their pursuit of highly-rated attacker Henry Onyekuru this summer, according to a European manager.
K.A.S. Eupen head coach Jordi Condom has revealed to Belgian news outlet Het Laatste Niews that Borussia Monchengladbach and Club Brugge are now in pole position to land the 19-year-old ace this summer.
When asked about a potential transfer, Condom quoted the two European clubs as showing an interest.
It was further reported that Onyekuru was keen to quit the Belgian club this summer, paving the way for the goalscorer to move to Celtic, but the latest development could have huge ramifications for the Scottish club.

Condom’s admission suggests Celtic could miss out on their man, with Champions League rivals Gladbach a promising proposition for Onyekuru.
The youngster has been in fine form in Belgium this season, contributing 17 goals and seven assists from 33 appearances in all competitions.
He is under contract at Eupen until 2020, but he is not expected to remain at the club beyond the current season.
Football Insider verdict
Brendan Rodgers may still show a keen interest in signing Onyekuru this summer, but the reported interest from Borussia Monchengladbach is not likely to do them any favours. Belgian giants Club Brugge may also be a concern, but Onyekuru is likely to pick a side with more realistic European prospects, which could narrow the playing field. However, Celtic seemingly have the advantage of having already discussed a potential move with Onyekuru’s current club, and will know their demands. He could be a decent asset for the club as an attacker, with on loan winger Patrick Roberts expected to return to his parent club at the end of the season. He could also provide cover in a centre forward role, with a possible summer exit for Mousa Dembele, and ongoing fitness concerns for Leigh Griffiths.
In other Celtic transfer news, the Hoops are reportedly in a three-way battle to sign this Championship midfielder.
