Traore tipped to complete Liverpool move and emulate 'unbelievable' Jota after £18m reveal - pundit
Paddy Kenny has told Adama Traore he can emulate Diogo Jota’s success at Liverpool if he moves to Anfield in January.
The former Leeds United stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists Wolves won’t stand in the winger’s way if he wants to move.
A Wolves source told Football Insider earlier this week (30 November) the electric winger may be available for just £18million in the January window after being valued at £50m in August.
That has put Liverpool on red alert as they were prepared to pay between £20-£25m for the forward during the summer (2021).
Traore has entered the final 18 months of his Molineux deal and has found himself on the bench in recent weeks.
Kenny can see Traore going to Liverpool and looking to achieve what his former teammate has achieved over the last two years.

“If Liverpool is a serious option, he’s interested in a January deal,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I can’t see the club standing in his way as long as they get what they are asking for.
“They won’t give him away for nothing. For me, you have to look at Jota.
“He’s a regular in that Liverpool team now and he’s unbelievable.
“That shows you can make that step up from that level to the top level Liverpool are playing at.
“Traore won’t be starting ahead of Salah or Mane any time soon but as a back up that’s a great option to have.“
Traore has made 13 league appearances this season but has failed to score.
Since joining Liverpool, Jota has scored 22 goals in 49 games.
