Trent Alexander-Arnold facing Liverpool axe amid ‘big’ new claim – pundit
Trent Alexander-Arnold is not safe from being dropped to the Liverpool bench.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the defender’s start to the season.
The 23-year-old did not play a minute of football in the recent international break and was left out of the 23-man matchday squad for the 3-3 draw with Germany on Monday (26 September)

This came after a start to the season in which Alexander-Arnold’s defensive ability has been questioned.
Questions were again asked during Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Brighton as both of the Seagulls’ first-half goals came down the defender’s side.
Kenny claims Alexander-Arnold could be dropped even though there is no obvious replacement.
“Could he be dropped? It would be a big move,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“Klopp has always defended him and he has never had a bad word to say about him. But a point comes where you have to be realistic, he knows that.
“I think it was against Napoli where he had a bad game, he really had a bad one. So he isn’t perfect.
“Maybe he would be dropped if there was an obvious player to replace him but there doesn’t seem to be one.
“Any player can be dropped if they stop performing.”

Alexander-Arnold has started all seven of Liverpool’s Premier League games this season.
Liverpool are next in action against Rangers on Tuesday (4 October).
