Trevoh Chalobah hits back at Chelsea fan as Enzo Maresca fuels exit rumours
Trevoh Chalobah’s Chelsea future remains in the balance and the defender has hit out at a Blues fan on social media amid the rumours.
Chalobah spent the first half of last season out on loan at Crystal Palace, but he was recalled in January and helped Enzo Maresca’s side lift the Europa Conference League trophy.
The 25-year-old is currently out in the United States as the West London side compete in the revamped Club World Cup.
On Saturday evening, Chelsea’s last 16 clash against Benfica was delayed for just under two hours due to adverse weather conditions, but the Premier League side eventually progressed to the quarter-finals after extra time, with a 4-1 win.

Chalobah shuts down Chelsea fan
Chelsea’s game against Benfica kicked off at 9 pm BST, but in the 85th minute, the players were taken off the pitch due to lightning, and the match wasn’t completed until 2am BST.
After the game, Chalobah saw the funny side of the long delay, taking to X to say: “Game started Saturday and ended Sunday”, with a laughing emoji.
However, below the tweet, a Chelsea fan told the defender to stop joking around and take the tournament seriously.
Chalobah, clearly bemused by the response, hit back at the supporter by saying: “Correct me if I’m wrong, did we not win 4-1?” with a crying laughter emoji.

Earlier this month (12 June) Football Insider exclusively revealed that Chelsea were set to keep Chalobah at the club ahead of the upcoming campaign.
It is thought that the Blues would rather sell Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi than their academy graduate.
As a result of coming through the Cobham system, Chelsea would bank pure profit by selling Chalobah, but he is expected to be given another chance at Stamford Bridge.
