Trevoh Chalobah responds to Ebere Eze’s message amid Crystal Palace return talk
Chelsea centre-back Trevoh Chalobah has responded to a message from his former Crystal Palace teammate Ebere Eze.
The pair are no strangers to each other, having played together at Selhurst Park when the Blues defender was on loan with Oliver Glasner‘s side during the first half of last season.
Ultimately, Chalobah was recalled by Chelsea during the January transfer window, and has subsequently impressed by Stamford Bridge.
Even so, the 25-year-old was recently reunited with some of his Crystal Palace teammates, including Eze, which has now led to an intriguing social media exchange.

Eberechi Eze hails Trevoh Chalobah amid England debut
Following the end of the club campaign, focus has turned to the transfer window, where the Eagles will like any club be keen to strengthen their squad.
It has been suggested that Crystal Palace could look to re-sign Chalobah from Chelsea amid uncertainty around Marc Guehi this summer.
Meanwhile, the Blues centre-back enjoyed a landmark moment in his personal career on Tuesday (10 June), by making his senior international debut.
That ended in disappointment as England were beaten 3-1 by Senegal in a friendly, though Eze was still keen to pay tribute to his former teammate’s achievement.
Taking to Instagram to reflect on that outing, the Crystal Palace attacker wrote: “Honour. Congrats Trevoh Chalobah on your debut brother”.
Chalobah then responded to that message by simply commenting on the post with both a fingers crossed and loveheart emoji.
Crystal Palace face fight to do Chelsea deal
Football Insider Verdict
It appears as though it could be difficult for Crystal Palace to bring Chalobah back to Selhurst Park in the transfer window.
Earlier this week, Football Insider reported that Chelsea would rather sell other centre-backs than Chalobah despite interest from Napoli as well.
The 25-year-old also has three years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, meaning they are under no pressure to sell in the current market.
Even so, this response from the centre-back to Eze may have some Eagles fans wondering whether the player himself is keen on a return to the club given his clear affection for it.
Indeed, if Guehi is to move on this summer, then bringing back a proven Premier League centre-back in Chalobah to fill that void would surely be a popular move.
