Trevor Sinclair: This is what stinks about West Ham bombshell

By Amir Mir

Trevor Sinclair has slammed Dimitri Payet for “downing tools” after West Ham manager Slaven Bilic revealed that he does not want to play for the club.

The Croatian dropped the bombshell on Thursday morning as reported by the club’s official Twitter account that the 29-year-old has asked to leave but the Premier League outfit don’t have any intentions to sell him.

Playmaker Payet last featured for his side as a second-half substitute during their 5-0 defeat at home to Manchester City in the FA Cup.

That game could prove to be his last as he bids to leave the London club, a move which has angered former player Sinclair who had this to say on his personal Twitter account.

The France international has scored just two league goals this season as his side are fighting a relegation battle.

They are seven points above the bottom three heading into the weekend matches where they play 17th-placed Crystal Palace.

Sam Allardyce’s side can close the gap on their rivals to three points with a win as Bilic’s side have lost their last two matches at home and have conceded seven goals.

Additionally, the Irons have shipped five goals at the London Stadium on two occasions this term, once against City in the FA Cup and previously against Arsenal in the league.

In other West Ham news, a bid of £22.5 million has been tabled a bid for this Hammers player.
