Report: Massive triple boost for Celtic ahead of Europa clash v Zenit
Celtic could welcome back into the fold three players for the visit of Zenit St Petersburg to Parkhead next Tuesday, according to a report.
The Scottish Sun has said that Tom Rogic, Patrick Roberts, and Stuart Armstrong are all possibilities to be fit in time for the European clash.
Both Rogic and Roberts have been struggling with long-term injuries while Armstrong is ahead on recovery following a hernia operation and could also push for a role in the game.
It is a welcome boost for Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers to have all three back in contention but especially Roberts, who is on loan from Manchester City.
The Bhoys boss has been struggling to cope with a number of injuries to key players and last weekend they lost Kristoffer Ajer and Dedryk Boyata as well, in the defeat away at Kilmarnock.
Only this week, Rodgers welcomed Anthony Ralston back into the setup, who has been out of action since September when he suffered a serious blow, resulting in a meniscus injury – an operation was required.
However, the 19-year-old made his comeback in the Scottish Youth Cup which the Hoops won 3-0 against St Johnstone.
Celtic have a Scottish Cup tie this weekend against Partick Thistle to contend with as they bid to win the competition again.
In other Celtic news, Alan Brazil cannot believe this first team player is still at Parkhead.
