Trossard and Nwaneri react to Gabriel Jesus’ new Arsenal update
Gabriel Jesus has issued a new update on his recovery from a long injury lay-off, prompting reactions from Arsenal teammates Leandrto Trossard and Ethan Nwaneri.
There was more frustration for the Gunners last season, as they once again ended the campaign without a major trophy.
They were not helped by Jesus tearing his ACL as Arsenal took on Man United in the FA Cup back in January, an incident which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign.
With Kai Havertz then suffering a major injury of his own shortly after, that lack of a senior recognised striker badly hurt Mikel Arteta’s side.

Gabriel Jesus provides fresh recovery update
With Jesus having to undergo surgery after his injury, it is a long road back for the striker as he aim for a return to action.
However, the Brazilian is moving ever closer to being back in contention to play for Arsenal once again, judging by his latest update.
Taken to his Instagram page, the 28-year-old posted several clips of him going through fitness drills at his former club Palmerias.
That was then accompanied by an emotional caption from the Arsenal star, which read: “It’s been six months since the surgery, it’s great to be able to move around like this again. Loading”.
In response, both Trossard and Nwaneri offered their backing to their Gunners teammate by liking that post.
Arsenal striker facing fresh challenges
Football Insider Verdict
Even when he is back fit and available, it is far from a foregone conclusion that Jesus will go straight back into the starting XI for Arteta‘s side.
It has become abundantly clear that the Gunners need a new centre-forward in the summer window, and they are working towards signing in that position.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with the likes of Benjamin Sesko and Viktor Gyokeres this summer, so there will be established competion for Jesus in that role when he is ready to return to action.
Indeed, given they could be signed before the Brazilian is fit again, he may find himself having to wait some time for a chance in the first-team even when injury is not an issue.
Even so, Arteta will need depth in that position to avoid the problems of last season returning, so the fact Jesus is making positive progress can still be seen as a boost for the Gunners.
Of course, after all the frustration of this setback, it will still be good for the Arsenal star to have this sort of light at the end of a long tunnel from a personal perspective as well.
