Two players from Celtic and Rangers have been named in the SPFL team of the week, which is made up of players from all four professional leagues in Scotland.
The players are Tom Rogic of the Hoops and David Bates of the Gers, in a team which was announced on the official SPFL Twitter account a short time ago.

The inclusion of both players cannot be argued with, as Rogic’s sublime pass to Moussa Dembele helped give the Hoops the lead over Hearts in a match they won 3-1, whilst Bates’ late goal against Kilmarnock kept the Gers in the battle for second place in the Scottish Premiership table.
Football Insider verdict
It is no surprise to see both players included in the team of the week, as both players played a key role in their team picking up the three points that were required. Of course, some fans will look for omissions, and it does seem a bit strange the Celtic duo of Dedryck Boyata and Dembele missed out, after both played a key role in the victory for the Hoops. However, Rogic and Bates can’t be quibbled with, and both players did very well and what could be their last weeks with their respective clubs. Bates has of course signed for Hamburg, and will be moving to Germany in the summer, whilst question marks continue over the future of Rogic, who has yet to sign a new deal with the Bhoys and whose contract runs out at the end of next season. If both players end up leaving Scotland, they will both be missed and their teams will be poorer without them.
