Two attacking mainstays axed in 3-4-2-1 – This Tottenham XI will demolish Brighton

Forwards

Erik Lamela (Attacking-midfield) – The 25-year-old has looked sharp since his return from injury and could be ready to make his first Premier League start after missing 13 months with a serious hip problem. If he is fit, he should start ahead of Christian Eriksen, who has been much-criticised this season and should be rested ahead of the weekend’s clash with City.

Son Heung-min (Attacking-midfield) – Son has been sensational for Tottenham this season. The 25-year-old ran the show against Stoke on Saturday with a man-of-the-match performance and has proved on several occasions this season that he deserves a place in Pochettino’s starting XI. His pace will be an absolute nightmare for the Brighton defence and he should start ahead of Dele Alli, who has struggled to find his best form in the Premier League this season.

Harry Kane (Centre-forward) – Who else? Kane has been in truly exceptional form for Spurs in 2017, scoring 33 goals in 32 Premier League matches this calendar year. He is a clinical finisher and has proven that he can score goals from any position, with both feet and his head. The Brighton defence could be in for a tough night.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs must sign this goal machine in January if they want to land the Premier League title.
