Tyler Dibling responds to Josh Acheampong after Chelsea transfer report
Tyler Dibling responded to Chelsea youngster Josh Acheampong on social media after being linked with a move to the West London club.
According to Caught Offside, Chelsea are willing to battle it out with Man United to secure the highly regarded 18-year-old’s signature, with Southampton setting a £21million asking price.
Southampton manager Russel Martin has since come out and refuted the claims, telling reporters ahead of their game with Tottenham on Sunday (December 15): “I’m not sure you’ll get his left foot for that.”
Martin then opened up about a new contract for Dibling, saying: “We have offered him a contract, a really good contract for someone his age.
“At the minute, I don’t think his agent agrees, so that’s where we’re at. I think Tyler wants it done, I think Tyler’s parents want it done, so we’ll see how long that takes.”
Dibling has been a standout in a struggling Southampton side, starting ten of his 16 appearances across all competitions, scoring one goal, and providing two assists in 957 minutes of action.

Acheampong, 18, made his first Chelsea start in their 3-1 Europa Conference League win over FC Astana on Thursday (December 12).
The young defender had previously been frozen out after refusing to sign a new contract with his boyhood club but is reportedly close to signing a new long-term deal, according to The Athletic.
Dibling took to Instagram after Chelsea’s win over FC Astana to congratulate Acheampong his his first start, commenting on his most recent post, simply saying: “My boy.”
Chelsea signed Dibling from Southampton’s academy back in 2022, but the winger returned after just two months due to homesickness.
Enzo Maresca’s side host fellow West London club Brentford on Sunday (December 15) as they seek to keep the pressure on league leaders Liverpool.
