Tyrhys Dolan sends ‘big’ message after Leeds controversy
Blackburn Rovers star Tyrhys Dolan has sent a new message on social media following his controversial display in the win v Leeds United.
Daniel Farke’s side were defeated 1-0 at Ewood Park thanks to a penalty from Todd Cantwell, which was won by Dolan, and are now three points behind league-leaders Sheffield United.
However, the game was not short of controversy as multiple questionable decisions appeared to go against the visiting side.
Replays shared on social media following the game showed the winger should have been sent off after he made a knee-high challenge on Junior Firpo, but avoided a red card.
Reports claimed Farke had insisted to the press in his post-match assessment that the 22-year-old should have seen red and was left frustrated by the referee’s decision.
However, the winger gave no reaction to the controversy as he took to social media, simply stating “Big win” via his Instagram, alongside clips of his display.

Dolan has been a key player for Blackburn this season, having started 14 of their 18 games so far, and has scored two goals and provided two assists in that time.
After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, John Eustace’s side are currently eighth in the table and are harbouring outside hopes of reaching the playoffs come May.
However, their most recent victory has put a dent in Leeds’ automatic promotion hopes as they now sit third place in the Championship after 18 games.
Farke’s side missed out on promotion last season after losing to Southampton in the playoff final, but it was inconsistent results throughout the season which ultimately cost them.
As a result, many feel continued inconsistency this season could cause further issues, having drawn five and lost three of their 17 games so far.
Despite this, Leeds remain in touch with the top two with just three points separating them, with over half of the season still to play.
