Tyrique George edges towards Chelsea exit as Premier League rivals plot ‘strong push’ for late deal
Tyrique George could be on the verge of leaving Chelsea with another Premier League side plotting a late advancement to secure his signature.
The striker hasn’t featured for the Blues since Liam Rosenior’s arrival in the dugout, as he has been left as an unused substitute by the new boss on several occasions of late.
Football Insider revealed back in October that Chelsea would listen to offers for George in the January transfer window, and an exit now finally looks set to materialise at the eleventh hour before Monday night’s deadline.
Premier League clubs have until 7pm on Monday evening to conclude their business ahead of the second half of the season, and George is a man whose potential move looks set to go right down to the wire.

Everton ready to accelerate for Tyrique George
Football Insider revealed on Saturday that Everton and Sunderland are chasing George in the final stages of the winter window, as it looks increasingly likely that the 19-year-old will leave Stamford Bridge.
Fulham had been heavily linked with the striker earlier in the month, but the Cottagers’ interest has seemingly faded of late, with the Toffees and the Black Cats coming to the fore.
However, Sunderland also appear set to fall by the wayside in the final stages of the pursuit, as Everton are plotting a “strong push” to sign George before the deadline, according to talkSPORT.
That Chelsea starlet was left out of the matchday squad for the comeback victory over West Ham on Saturday evening, and is now edging ever closer towards the exit door in West London.

David Moyes has confirmed that Everton are hopeful of getting one more addition to their squad before the deadline, and it is surely George who is in their sights as their main target.
Liam Delap to be delighted with Tyrique George latest at Chelsea
Liam Delap has struggled for Chelsea since his £30million move from Ipswich Town last summer, but he will surely be delighted with the latest update surrounding George’s future.
The 22-year-old has found the net just twice in all competitions since the start of the 2025-26 campaign, and has started just nine games in the Premier League as a result.
He will undoubtedly have feared for his standing in the squad given his recent poor performances, and as a result, he will be delighted to see that his closest competitor for a starting spot is about to head out the door.
Both George and Delap are firmly behind Joao Pedro in the pecking order, but the duo are by far the most likely pairing to compete to be the next cab off the rank for Rosenior.
With George’s departure now looking increasingly likely, it is sure to have Delap breathing a huge sigh of relief at Stamford Bridge.
