Tyrone Mings makes fun of Jacob Ramsey in Aston Villa training ground update

Aston Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings has joked about the affection teammate Jacob Ramsey has for him on social media.

Despite describing the injury that forced him of in the draw with West Ham late last month as “not serious”, Mings has missed Aston Villa’s last two games.

Even so, the centre-back appears to be in good spirits, and judging by his presence on the training pitch, he may not be far away from a return to action either.

Aston Villa stars in good spirits under Unai Emery

Unai Emery and his side are preparing to face Tottenham in the fourth round of the FA Cup at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.

Spirits certainly should be high in the camp for Aston Villa, following a bright end to the transfer window that included the Villa signing of Marcus Rashford from Man United.

Mings has now suggested that is the case, taking to Instagram to post a picture from training of himself and Ramsey.

Tagging the winger in the post, the England international then also added the caption: “That’s a look of [love] if ever I’ve seen one”.

Aston Villa fans will be pleased to see Tyrone Mings update

A post such as this from Mings in particular will no doubt go down very well indeed with supporters of the club.

The Aston Villa captain has endured some horrendous luck with injuries over the course of his career, so many will have been concerned with the blow he picked up against the Hammers.

This update however suggests he is still feeling good about his situation and may not be out of action for much longer.

Not only will that be a relief given it would be a cruel blow for him to endure another long spell on the sidelines, but also because of his importance to Aston Villa between now and the end of the season.
