Unai Emery ‘ignoring obvious flaws’ in Aston Villa star who was ‘pathetic’ against Man United

Unai Emery has been told who he must replace in his Aston Villa squad following their victory over Man United.

Morgan Rogers scored twice as Aston Villa beat Man United 2-1 to move within three points of league leaders Arsenal.

Aston Villa are currently on a seven-match winning streak in the Premier League, with an outside chance of claiming the Premier League title in May.

Emery though may have one concern in his squad which he needs to address in a future transfer window.

Matty Cash put in ‘criminal’ performance vs Man United

Aston Villa fans were not best pleased with Matty Cash and what he did during the win against Man United.

Matheus Cunha’s equalising goal, just minutes after Rogers had put Aston Villa ahead, was down to a mistake from Cash which let the forward in on goal.

Cash signed a new contract with Aston Villa in October, and has been first-choice at right-back this season.

Emery has a lack of depth in the position, with only 22-year-old Andres Garcia a natural alternative to Cash.

Instead, Aston Villa may sign a new left-back in the January transfer window, with Wolves‘ David Moller Wolfe a target.

Supporters though believe Cash is not the long-term answer for the club, with some saying he makes mistakes on a far too regular occurrence.
