‘Unai Emery plots Aston Villa returns for Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio’
Marcus Rashford and Marco Asensio could yet both be set to return to Aston Villa in the summer transfer window.
The pair both linked up with Unai Emery’s side back in the January market, with Rashford joining from Man United, and Asensio arriving from PSG.
Having made those moves to the Midlands, the pair have both impressed with some of their contributions for the club.
Indeed, a number of supporters had previously expressed their desire to see Rashford and Asensio move to Villa Park permanently at the summer.
After Aston Villa were controversially beaten by Man United on the final day of the season, their resulting failure to qualify for the Champions League looked to be a blow for their hopes of reuniting with the pair.
Despite that, it seems they have not abandoned all hope of securing new deals for Rashford and Asensio just yet.

Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford transfer updates
According to a new update from the Daily Mail, it is expected that Emery will attempt to bring Asensio back on a permanent deal once the market opens.
That is despite the fact the PSG loanee made more of an impact from the bench, and struggled to maintain the strong form he showed at the start of his stint with the club.
Rashford meanwhile sent an emotional message to Aston Villa after his loan came to an end this weekend, which some may have perceived as farewell.
It is noted, however, that despite the lack of Champions League football the attacker is thought to want, the Midlands outfit have not given up on bringing hm back as well this summer.
There is a suggestion that could be on another season-long loan despite the fact he is available on a permanent deal for £40million, with his high salary packet apparently a concern.

Aston Villa can land major statement with double deal
Football Insider Verdict
Attacking reinforcements are surely going to be among the top priority at Villa Park once the transfer window opens.
Not only are these two loan deals coming to an end, but there are questions about the future of Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa.
That means the club may need to find some considerable firepower from somewhere, and bringing back Rashford and Asensio to do that job could be a smart move.
Both have shown they can make a positive impact for Emery’s side in front of goal, and the pair could settle quickly given they are already familiar with the club.
With all the talk about financial situations as well, it would be a major coup for Aston Villa as well if they could pull of two high profile signings such as these.
So while this may well be a tough ask for the Midlands outfit, these do still feel like deals that are very much worth pursuing.
