Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to annihilate Josh Windass for his performance in the 2-1 loss to Dundee at Dens Park on Friday night – even though he was on the scoresheet.
Windass, 23, has constantly been on the end of criticism for fans for his performances this season and he showed absolutely no signs of improvement against Neil McCann’s side in the Premiership clash this week despite rifling home an equaliser in between Mark O’Hara’s two goals.
The ex-Accrington Stanley attacker offered very little against the Dee and it seems to be a constant source of frustration with the Ibrox faithful that he hasn’t upped his form, despite showing against Motherwell on the opening day of the campaign that he can be a very good player.
Although he was a regular figure in Pedro Caixinha’s underperforming side, caretaker manager Graeme Murty has stuck with Windass in the senior side since the Portuguese boss was sacked last month.
And fans still clearly feel that the 23-year-old should be nowhere near the first-team, with one fan on Twitter labeling the player as being “utter garbage”.
Here is a selection of their tweets:
It’s seriously telling of the standard at rangers just now that josh windass has to start every single week, the boy is nowhere near it, utter garbage

Senior player Windass has made 17 appearances across all competitions this season, scoring four goals and supplying two assists in the process.
He has started all but two Premiership games so far this campaign with the only times he was omitted being due to injury.
