Van de Ven shares three-word Tottenham injury update in new message
Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven has taken to social media to let fans know he is “on the way” to his much-awaited injury comeback.
The 23-year-old picked up a hamstring injury in Tottenham’s 2-1 League Cup win over Man City on 30th October and has since missed their last six games across all competitions.
Van de Ven was a key figure for Spurs before his injury, completing the full 90 minutes in all but one of his eight Premier League appearances. His only reprieve came in the 3-0 victory over Manchester United, where he was substituted in the 81st minute.
The centre-back has made ten appearances across all competitions since the start of the season, popping up with two assists in 815 minutes of action.
Ange Postecoglu’s side are going through a mini-defensive injury crisis, with Cristian Romero and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario also on the sidelines.
Mikey van de Ven eager for Tottenham return amid club’s poor run of form
Tottenham have been unpredictable this season, notably losing 2-1 to newly-promoted Ipswich and then beating current champions Man City 4-0 in their next game.
The North London club’s win over Man City marks their only win in their last five games across all competitions, losing two and drawing two.
Van de Ven is clearly eager to get back out there, taking to Instagram to share an update with the fans ahead of the hectic festive period.

Spurs remain in the European spots despite their poor running of form, sitting in seventh with 20 points from their opening 13 games.
Postecoglu’s side are in dire need of finding some consistency as they prepare for a trip to Bournemouth on Thursday (December 5).
